MEMENTO

Every ending, too, holds its own magic: the photo book MEMENTO leads to the enchanted cemeteries of Europe, from the grand statuary of Italy and the romantic grounds of Germany to the mysterious graves of Prague. Many of these places tell stories through their overgrown graves, weathered inscriptions and proud mausoleums.

The book is a carefully assembled collection of around 180 illustrations across 240 pages, accompanied by the researched texts of the author Björn Eenboom. A journalist who has written for many magazines and newspapers, including the Frankfurter Rundschau, Eenboom has for many years recorded in the “Cicero” magazine column “The Last 24 Hours” what prominent figures think about death, faith and burial.
